Hi

I'm Chris East, a 61 year old woman who has been pointing cameras at things since I was a child. "Wow that's old" I can hear you say, but I have evolved with the many cameras I have used in that length of time and consider myself still to be evolving. I have a Higher National Diploma in Photography, originally training in commercial, industrial, aerial and editorial photography, but I have learned so much more in the years that followed.

Of course, in those days it was film and my happiest memories have been those of rushing home after a shoot and developing and printing my images in my own darkroom. It took forever, compared with today's instant gratification of transferring images from the camera directly to the computer in the blink of an eye. However I love digital and the absolute control we have over processing our images, but I consider myself fortunate to have experienced both types of medium.
